The former Venice Post Office was built in 1939 by the Roosevelt’s Works Projects Administration. It contained an illustrated prize-winning mural from FDR's "New Deal program appropriately titled and addressed as, "The Story Of Venice" created by Edward Biberman, a California Modernist that features Venice’s Founder, Developer and Visionary Abbot Kinney surrounded by the town he developed in 1905.
