Venice Beach / A darkened sunset / poetry by Helen Steiner Rice
"A succinct reminder"

Nature and a suitable environment are not always desirable. Stormy days exeunt prompting sensible poetry:

"We wouldn’t appreciate the sunshine…if we never had the rain…We wouldn’t enjoy the good life…without the pain…If we never shed a tear drop…and always had a smile…We would all get tired of laughing…after having grinned a while. All this by comparison both the bitter and the sweet, it takes a bit of both to make our lives complete."
