It seemed like my neighbors were intensely diverting their attention toward something amusing, but It was always wise of me to mind my own business and not interfere in their affairs. Living in close proximity to my residence, I just played it safe with friendly hellos and goodbyes without being snobbish about any interaction. My parents always taught me to pick my friends through good judgment, treat all others as mere acquaintances and avoid those who waste your time and don't care to be respectful toward themselves or others. They also expressed to keep in mind any alternative situations and to leave the doors of perception open. The whole in the top of the head represents what can come or go at any given time.
