This sketch was a lengthy one that took three days to accomplish. Working on Dragnet at times was intermittently proactive and all business. Webb had a unique system of producing five days of shows within five working days. He had two separate crews working on two separate sequences of shows in two separate studio stages. Our crew would be filming while the other crew would be building on the other stage in preparation for the next week of filming. He was the first producer to work a film company as an assembly line production. At that time I was considering becoming an actor and sketched my fantasy out as I was "Born To Be On Top" and yet unfulfilled at that time I settled for the reality of working as a crew member. In the evening I painted that sketch as the "Astro Bell."
